We’re looking to hire an experienced Interior Designer to join the French & French team! Our designers are driven individuals with a killer eye and project management skills to match. You need to be extremely detail-oriented and know how to communicate well.
Our designers manage projects from start to finish under the direction of French & French’s co-founder and Creative Director, Heather French. This collaborative environment and extreme attention to detail is what pushes French & French’s designs to the next level and being open to direction is a must. We expect our designers to be up to date with the latest finishes and furnishings as well as what’s trending in the industry, so we can stay ahead of the curve!
Attention to detail and organizational skills are absolutely necessary for this position. A good designer doesn’t just know how to pick throw pillows (although you definitely need to know how to do that!), they also know how to be extremely accurate in measurements and details. Each designer manages multiple projects and it is their responsibility to ensure the process runs smoothly. You will create, manage, and implement every step of client projects - sourcing products and materials, communicating with vendors and contractors, creating mood boards and design boards, problem-solving, and project installations. We have a very fast-paced environment and expect a very high level of work from our team.
Our designers use AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator every single day.
You will meet with clients, talk with vendors and contractors, collaborate with other designers on the team, and coordinate with various F&F teams to make everything come together. We have a positive work environment where we work hard and get things done but communicate in a nice way to everyone.

What we’d like to see:
3+ years of professional interior design experience
Strong AutoCAD skills
Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
A solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop
Strong knowledge of trade sources
Extreme attention to detail
Great communication and experience consulting directly with clients
Confidence and the ability to communicate your ideas clearly
Strong leadership and self-motivation
Great multi-tasking skills
The ability to work with a team and take direction
A great attitude – no egos here, please.
